Ratings and viewership were mixed for conference championship games on FOX last weekend.
Last Saturday?s Wisconsin/Nebraska Big Ten Championship Game drew a 2.9 final rating and 5.1 million viewers on FOX, down 37% in ratings and 34% in viewership from the inaugural game between Wisconsin and Michigan State last year (4.6, 7.8M).
Compared to previous Saturday night telecasts on FOX, the Big Ten title game increased by 93% in ratings and 102% in viewership from Stanford/UCLA the previous week (1.5, 2.5M), and by 38% and 58%, respectively, from Oklahoma/West Virginia two weeks ago (2.1, 3.2M).
The previous night, the Stanford/UCLA Pac-12 Championship Game drew a 3.0 and 4.9 million viewers ? up a tick in ratings and up 9% in viewership from the inaugural game between Oregon and UCLA last year (2.9, 4.5M).
Overall, the Pac-12 title game ranks as the highest rated primetime college football telecast on FOX this season, while the Big Ten game ranks as the most-viewed.
