A nationwide survey lasting more than 20 years hopes to uncover new information about what causes cancer and how to prevent it.
The American Cancer Society is recruiting people to take part in the study. It?s called CPS 3. To participate, you must be between the ages of 30 and 65 and have never been diagnosed with cancer. You must also be willing to take surveys on and off for the next 20 years.
For more information on how to get involved, go to www.cps3quadcities.org .
The American Cancer Society is stressing how important it is for people to participate. They need 300,000 people, or else the entire study will be scrapped.
